Booking Conditions
Acceptance of These Terms
These Terms and Conditions form part of the agreement between HL Transportes Turisticos and every passenger using our services.
The person making a reservation on behalf of other travelers confirms that they are authorized to make the booking and agrees to communicate the relevant booking conditions to all passengers included in the reservation.
All travelers included under the same reservation are considered subject to the applicable booking conditions.
Booking Confirmation
Requesting information, receiving a quotation, or asking about availability does not automatically constitute a confirmed reservation.
A reservation is considered confirmed once:
- the required passenger information has been provided;
- the required deposit or payment has been received;
- availability has been verified where necessary; and
- HL Transportes Turisticos has issued confirmation through an official communication channel.
Confirmation may be issued through:
- email;
- WhatsApp;
- booking voucher;
- electronic confirmation;
- or another official communication channel used by HL Transportes Turisticos.
Passengers are responsible for reviewing their booking confirmation and notifying us as soon as possible if any information is incorrect.
Passenger Information
Travelers must provide accurate and complete information when making a reservation.
Depending on the type of service, we may request information such as:
- full name;
- passport or identification details;
- nationality;
- contact telephone number;
- email address;
- hotel or accommodation information;
- flight information;
- train information;
- arrival or departure details;
- emergency contact details;
- accessibility requirements;
- dietary requirements;
- and other information reasonably necessary to organize the service.
When tickets or reservations are issued using passenger information, the traveler is responsible for ensuring that the information provided is accurate.
HL Transportes Turisticos will make reasonable efforts to assist with corrections when permitted, but additional costs imposed by suppliers because of incorrect information provided by the traveler may be the passenger’s responsibility.
Prices and Payments
Tour and Transportation Prices
Prices may vary according to:
- route;
- distance;
- number of passengers;
- type of vehicle;
- type of service;
- season;
- operating time;
- additional stops;
- services included;
- entrance fees;
- third-party supplier costs;
- and availability.
The final price applicable to a reservation will be the price confirmed in writing by HL Transportes Turisticos.
Once a service has been confirmed at an agreed price, the price will not be arbitrarily increased.
Additional charges may apply if the traveler later requests changes such as:
- an additional destination;
- additional passengers;
- additional waiting time;
- additional stops;
- a different vehicle category;
- an extended itinerary;
- additional entrance tickets;
- additional transportation;
- or other services not included in the original reservation.
Any additional cost will be communicated before the requested modification is confirmed whenever reasonably possible.
Deposits and Payments
Depending on the service, HL Transportes Turisticos may require either:
- a deposit to secure the reservation; or
- full payment at the time of booking.
The amount required will be communicated before payment.
Accepted payment methods may include:
- credit or debit card;
- online payment platforms;
- bank transfer;
- cash;
- or another payment method expressly authorized by HL Transportes Turisticos.
A reservation is considered paid only when the corresponding funds have been successfully received and verified.
Where a payment processor, bank, card issuer, or international transfer service applies a transaction charge, such costs may be payable by the passenger when disclosed before payment.
Remaining Balance
When only a deposit is required at the time of booking, the remaining balance must be paid according to the deadline stated in the reservation confirmation.
Some services involving tickets, hotels, transportation reservations, railway services, or third-party suppliers may require earlier payment.
Failure to complete the required payment may result in suspension or cancellation of the reservation after reasonable notice.
Payment Security
HL Transportes Turisticos takes reasonable measures to protect passenger payment information.
When payment is processed through an independent electronic payment provider, card information is handled according to the security procedures of that provider.
Passengers should avoid sending complete credit or debit card information through unsecured channels.
If suspicious payment activity is detected, additional verification may be requested before confirming a reservation.
Cancellations and Refunds
Cancellation by the Passenger
Passengers who need to cancel a reservation should notify HL Transportes Turisticos as soon as possible through:
WhatsApp: (+51) 979327374
Bookings Email: bookings@hltransportesturisticos.com
A cancellation becomes effective when the written cancellation request is received.
Cancellation conditions may differ depending on the type of service because transportation, entrance tickets, railway tickets, guides, hotels, and other suppliers may have different payment and cancellation policies.
Transportation-only services normally allow greater flexibility than reservations involving prepaid third-party services.
The specific cancellation conditions applicable to the reservation will be those communicated before or during the booking process.
Non-Refundable Services
Certain tourism services may become non-refundable after being purchased or confirmed.
These may include:
- Machu Picchu entrance tickets;
- archaeological site tickets;
- train tickets;
- airline tickets;
- Inca Trail permits;
- hotel reservations with restrictive conditions;
- personalized entrance tickets;
- special activities;
- and other services subject to third-party cancellation policies.
When these services have already been purchased for a passenger, refunds will depend on the conditions established by the corresponding supplier or authority.
HL Transportes Turisticos will not classify a service as non-refundable merely for convenience when the amount remains legally recoverable.
Refunds
When a refund is approved, it will normally be returned through the original payment method whenever reasonably possible.
The final amount received may be affected by legitimate costs such as:
- payment processor fees;
- international bank charges;
- supplier penalties;
- currency conversion differences;
- or non-refundable services already purchased.
HL Transportes Turisticos will process approved refunds within a reasonable period.
Processing times after the refund has been issued may depend on banks, payment platforms, and credit card companies outside our control.
Cancellation by HL Transportes Turisticos
If HL Transportes Turisticos must cancel a service for reasons directly attributable to our company and the service cannot reasonably be replaced, passengers will be offered an appropriate solution.
Depending on the circumstances, this may include:
- rescheduling the service;
- providing an equivalent alternative;
- providing alternative transportation;
- offering travel credit;
- or refunding the portion of the service that cannot be provided.
Passenger rights established under applicable Peruvian consumer protection legislation remain unaffected.
Changes to a Reservation
Changes Requested by Passengers
Travelers may request changes to:
- travel date;
- departure time;
- pickup location;
- destination;
- route;
- passenger number;
- vehicle;
- or additional services.
All changes are subject to availability.
Additional charges may apply when a modification creates additional costs involving transportation, drivers, tickets, accommodation, guides, railway services, or other suppliers.
A change is considered confirmed only after written confirmation is issued by HL Transportes Turisticos.
Operational Changes
Travel in Peru, particularly in mountainous areas such as Cusco and the Sacred Valley, can occasionally require operational changes.
HL Transportes Turisticos may modify a reasonable logistical element of a service when necessary because of:
- passenger safety;
- traffic;
- road conditions;
- weather;
- road closures;
- demonstrations;
- government restrictions;
- mechanical circumstances;
- availability;
- or other legitimate operational reasons.
Changes may affect:
- departure time;
- pickup order;
- route;
- vehicle;
- sequence of visits;
- meeting point;
- guide;
- or other logistical details.
Whenever reasonably possible, the essential nature and value of the confirmed service will be maintained.
Transportation Services
Vehicles
The vehicle assigned to a reservation will depend on factors such as:
- number of passengers;
- luggage;
- route;
- road conditions;
- service category;
- and availability.
Vehicles may include:
- cars;
- SUVs;
- vans;
- minibuses;
- buses;
- or another vehicle appropriate for tourist transportation.
Photographs of vehicles displayed in advertising or online may be representative unless a particular vehicle has been specifically confirmed.
For operational or safety reasons, HL Transportes Turisticos may substitute a vehicle with another appropriate vehicle of comparable or greater capacity.
Transportation Safety
Passenger safety is one of the primary considerations of HL Transportes Turisticos.
Vehicles used for tourist transportation will be operated in accordance with applicable transportation requirements and safety regulations.
Passengers are expected to:
- use available seat belts;
- remain properly seated during transportation;
- respect driver instructions;
- avoid distracting the driver;
- avoid interfering with vehicle controls;
- and refrain from behavior that may put themselves or others at risk.
A driver may stop the vehicle or refuse to continue when passenger behavior or external circumstances create an unreasonable safety risk.
Drivers
Drivers assigned to tourist transportation are expected to:
- operate the vehicle responsibly;
- follow applicable traffic laws;
- prioritize passenger safety;
- maintain professional behavior;
- respect passengers;
- and follow the operational route established for the service.
Drivers may modify driving speed, stop temporarily, or change the route if required by weather, traffic, road conditions, authorities, or passenger safety.
Pickups and Waiting Times
Passenger Pickup
Passengers must be ready at the location and time communicated in their booking confirmation.
Pickup may take place from:
- hotels;
- hostels;
- private accommodation;
- airports;
- train stations;
- designated meeting points;
- or other previously confirmed locations.
Some historical areas of Cusco have narrow or restricted streets that cannot be accessed by all vehicles.
When direct access is not possible, HL Transportes Turisticos may designate the closest safe and practical meeting point.
Shared Transportation
For shared services, the communicated pickup time may represent a pickup window rather than an exact minute.
Several passengers may need to be collected from different locations.
Reasonable delays caused by earlier passenger pickups should therefore be expected.
Delayed Passengers
Travelers who expect to be late should contact HL Transportes Turisticos immediately.
Our team will make reasonable efforts to accommodate delays, but the vehicle cannot always remain indefinitely when doing so would affect:
- other passengers;
- train connections;
- flights;
- scheduled tours;
- driver operating hours;
- or subsequent services.
Additional waiting charges may apply when an extended delay requires additional operating time.
No-Shows
A passenger may be considered a no-show when they fail to appear at the confirmed meeting point within a reasonable waiting period and cannot be contacted.
Services lost because of a passenger no-show are generally non-refundable because the vehicle, driver, guide, or other resources have already been assigned.
Airport Transfers
Passengers booking an airport transfer should provide accurate flight information, including the flight number and expected arrival or departure details.
When correct flight information has been provided, HL Transportes Turisticos will make reasonable efforts to take known flight delays into account.
If a flight is:
- cancelled;
- significantly delayed;
- diverted;
- rescheduled;
- or moved to another date,
passengers should contact us as soon as possible.
We will attempt to reorganize the transfer based on operational availability.
A significant flight change may require a new transportation assignment and may therefore involve an additional charge.
Train Station Transfers
Passengers booking transportation to or from a train station must provide accurate train information.
This is particularly important for services involving:
- Ollantaytambo;
- Poroy;
- Wanchaq;
- Machu Picchu connections;
- or another railway station.
Passengers traveling to catch a train must be ready at the agreed departure time.
HL Transportes Turisticos plans reasonable travel time under normal operating conditions, but extraordinary events such as road closures, accidents, demonstrations, or natural events can affect arrival times.
Travel Times
Estimated transportation times are approximate.
Driving conditions throughout Cusco and the Andes may change because of:
- weather;
- traffic;
- road construction;
- road maintenance;
- landslides;
- demonstrations;
- local events;
- accidents;
- agricultural activity;
- or government controls.
When a passenger has an important connection, such as a flight or train, this information should be provided when making the reservation.
Luggage
Passengers should provide information in advance if they will be traveling with an unusually large amount of luggage.
The amount of luggage that can safely be transported depends on:
- number of passengers;
- vehicle capacity;
- luggage dimensions;
- and route.
Travelers should notify HL Transportes Turisticos in advance when carrying items such as:
- bicycles;
- wheelchairs;
- trekking equipment;
- large suitcases;
- sports equipment;
- musical instruments;
- professional camera equipment;
- or other oversized items.
A larger or additional vehicle may be required if luggage cannot safely fit in the originally assigned vehicle.
Personal Belongings
Passengers remain responsible for supervising their personal belongings.
Important items such as the following should remain with the traveler whenever possible:
- passport;
- identification;
- money;
- credit cards;
- medication;
- electronics;
- travel documents;
- jewelry;
- and other valuables.
HL Transportes Turisticos will take reasonable care of property placed under its control.
Nothing in these Terms excludes responsibility for loss or damage when HL Transportes Turisticos is legally responsible for that loss or damage.
Lost Property
Passengers who believe they have left an item inside one of our vehicles should contact us as soon as possible.
Please provide:
- passenger name;
- service date;
- route;
- approximate service time;
- and a description of the missing item.
If an item is found, HL Transportes Turisticos will make reasonable efforts to return it to its owner.
Courier or international shipping expenses are normally the responsibility of the passenger.
Children and Families
Children traveling with HL Transportes Turisticos must remain under the supervision of a responsible adult.
If a passenger requires a child safety seat, this should be requested before the service so that availability and vehicle compatibility can be verified.
Parents or guardians remain responsible for:
- supervising children;
- providing accurate age information;
- carrying necessary travel documents;
- and ensuring compliance with applicable requirements for minors.
Accessibility and Special Assistance
Travelers requiring additional assistance should inform us before booking.
This may include passengers requiring:
- wheelchair transportation;
- mobility assistance;
- additional boarding time;
- hearing or visual assistance;
- or another accessibility accommodation.
We will make reasonable efforts to arrange an appropriate service.
Passengers should understand that some historical and archaeological destinations in Peru may have limited accessibility because of:
- stairs;
- uneven surfaces;
- cobblestone streets;
- steep terrain;
- unpaved roads;
- or restrictions established by the corresponding attraction.
Health and Fitness
Some tours and destinations in Cusco involve high altitude, walking, uneven terrain, or significant physical activity.
Travelers are responsible for assessing whether an activity is appropriate for their physical condition.
Passengers with concerns regarding altitude, cardiovascular conditions, mobility, respiratory conditions, or other medical circumstances should seek appropriate medical advice before participating.
HL Transportes Turisticos personnel do not replace qualified medical professionals.
High-Altitude Travel
Cusco and many popular tourist destinations in the Andes are located at significant elevations.
Travelers may experience temporary symptoms related to altitude.
We recommend:
- allowing time for acclimatization;
- staying hydrated;
- eating appropriately;
- avoiding excessive alcohol;
- resting when necessary;
- wearing appropriate clothing;
- and following medical advice.
A guide or driver may recommend discontinuing an activity if continuing appears to create an unreasonable health or safety risk.
Medical and Dietary Requirements
Passengers should notify us in advance of any relevant requirement that may affect the organization of their service.
This may include:
- serious allergies;
- mobility restrictions;
- accessibility requirements;
- vegetarian meals;
- vegan meals;
- gluten-related requirements;
- or other dietary considerations.
Where meals are provided by independent restaurants or remote suppliers, HL Transportes Turisticos will communicate dietary requests but cannot guarantee completely separate food preparation environments unless specifically confirmed.
Travelers with severe allergies should carry any emergency medication recommended by their healthcare provider.
Travel Insurance
HL Transportes Turisticos strongly recommends that travelers obtain comprehensive personal travel insurance before visiting Peru.
Appropriate travel insurance may provide protection for situations including:
- medical treatment;
- accidents;
- hospitalization;
- emergency evacuation;
- trip cancellation;
- trip interruption;
- lost luggage;
- flight disruption;
- natural events;
- and other unexpected circumstances.
Vehicle insurance or compulsory transportation coverage is not a substitute for comprehensive personal travel insurance.
Emergency Situations
Passenger safety takes priority during an emergency.
Depending on the circumstances, HL Transportes Turisticos may:
- stop transportation;
- contact emergency services;
- contact local authorities;
- request medical assistance;
- modify the route;
- contact an emergency contact provided by the passenger;
- or transport the passenger to an appropriate safe location.
Medical treatment and personal healthcare expenses remain the responsibility of the traveler unless the expense results from circumstances for which HL Transportes Turisticos is legally responsible.
Weather and Road Conditions
Weather in Cusco and the Andes can change rapidly.
Passengers should travel with appropriate clothing and equipment for the destination and season.
Ordinary seasonal conditions such as:
- rain;
- cold weather;
- cloud cover;
- or temporary weather changes
do not automatically result in cancellation.
If conditions become unsafe, the route or itinerary may be modified.
Safety decisions may also be influenced by instructions from:
- local authorities;
- police;
- transportation authorities;
- archaeological site administrators;
- or emergency services.
Force Majeure and Events Beyond Our Control
Travel arrangements may occasionally be affected by extraordinary circumstances beyond the reasonable control of HL Transportes Turisticos.
Examples may include:
- earthquakes;
- landslides;
- floods;
- severe weather;
- road closures;
- fires;
- natural disasters;
- strikes;
- demonstrations;
- civil disturbances;
- government restrictions;
- states of emergency;
- health emergencies;
- railway interruptions;
- airport closures;
- archaeological site closures;
- or other extraordinary events.
When this occurs, HL Transportes Turisticos will make reasonable efforts to find the safest and most practical solution.
Depending on the circumstances, this may include:
- using an alternative route;
- modifying the itinerary;
- rescheduling the service;
- arranging an alternative service;
- or recovering refundable payments from suppliers.
Refunds will depend on the services actually provided and amounts that can legitimately be recovered from third-party suppliers.
Machu Picchu and Archaeological Sites
When a reservation includes services associated with Machu Picchu or another government-controlled attraction, visitors must comply with rules established by the competent authorities.
Authorities may establish or modify:
- entrance schedules;
- circuits;
- visitor limits;
- permitted routes;
- identification requirements;
- opening hours;
- prohibited items;
- and site access procedures.
HL Transportes Turisticos cannot override government regulations.
Passengers must carry any identification required for admission.
A particular entrance schedule or route is considered guaranteed only when it has been specifically confirmed as part of the passenger’s reservation.
Train Services
Train services are operated by independent railway companies.
Passengers using train services must comply with the corresponding railway operator’s:
- baggage rules;
- ticket conditions;
- boarding requirements;
- identification requirements;
- departure schedules;
- change policies;
- and cancellation conditions.
Train companies may occasionally modify schedules for operational reasons.
If HL Transportes Turisticos has organized related transportation, we will make reasonable efforts to adjust our ground transportation accordingly.
Accommodation
When accommodation forms part of a tour or travel package, the hotel or accommodation category will be indicated in the reservation.
Individual accommodations may maintain their own policies concerning:
- check-in;
- check-out;
- meals;
- room allocation;
- cancellations;
- and additional services.
If a confirmed accommodation becomes unavailable for circumstances outside our reasonable control, we will make reasonable efforts to arrange an equivalent alternative.
Shared Tours and Services
Travelers booking a shared service understand that other passengers will participate.
Shared services may therefore involve:
- multiple pickup locations;
- predetermined departure schedules;
- limited flexibility;
- waiting for other passengers;
- group transportation;
- and an itinerary designed for the group as a whole.
Travelers who require greater flexibility or privacy should consider a private service.
Private Services
Private transportation means that the service has been reserved specifically for the passenger or traveling party indicated in the booking.
A private service does not automatically include unlimited vehicle use.
The confirmed:
- route;
- duration;
- pickup;
- destination;
- and itinerary
remain applicable.
Significant additional stops, additional travel distance, or extended waiting time may involve additional charges.
Additional Stops
Reasonable short stops may be possible during private transportation when circumstances allow.
Passengers wishing to include significant sightseeing stops or route deviations should request them before confirming the reservation.
A substantial change in route or duration may result in an additional charge when it increases:
- distance;
- fuel consumption;
- driver time;
- parking;
- tolls;
- or other operational costs.
Passenger Conduct
HL Transportes Turisticos is committed to providing a safe and respectful environment for travelers, drivers, guides, staff, and local communities.
Passengers must not engage in:
- violence;
- threats;
- harassment;
- discrimination;
- sexual harassment;
- dangerous behavior;
- deliberate property damage;
- illegal activities;
- or repeated refusal to follow reasonable safety instructions.
A passenger whose behavior creates a serious risk to themselves or others may be removed from the service when reasonably necessary.
Services lost because of serious passenger misconduct may not be refundable, subject to applicable law.
Smoking, Alcohol, and Illegal Substances
Smoking and vaping are not permitted inside tourist transportation vehicles.
Illegal substances are prohibited.
Passengers may also be refused transportation when severe intoxication creates a legitimate risk to:
- the passenger;
- other travelers;
- the driver;
- staff;
- or property.
Protection of Children
HL Transportes Turisticos supports responsible tourism and the protection of children and adolescents.
We maintain zero tolerance toward:
- sexual exploitation;
- trafficking;
- abuse;
- exploitation of minors;
- or other illegal activities involving children.
Suspected illegal conduct may be reported to the appropriate authorities.
Services Voluntarily Not Used
A passenger who voluntarily chooses not to use part of an already confirmed service after the trip has begun will not normally receive a refund for that unused portion.
This may apply to voluntarily unused:
- transportation;
- meals;
- accommodation;
- entrance tickets;
- activities;
- guide services;
- or other prepaid components.
This does not affect rights that cannot legally be waived.
Leaving a Tour Early
If a traveler voluntarily leaves a tour before completion, any additional arrangements required afterward may be the passenger’s responsibility.
This may include additional:
- transportation;
- accommodation;
- tickets;
- or logistical services.
HL Transportes Turisticos will provide reasonable assistance where possible.
Prepaid third-party services may remain non-refundable if the supplier has already been paid.
Passports, Visas, and Travel Documentation
Travelers are responsible for ensuring that they comply with requirements for entering and remaining in Peru.
This includes responsibility for:
- valid passport;
- immigration requirements;
- visas where applicable;
- entry permissions;
- and documentation required according to nationality.
HL Transportes Turisticos may provide general travel information but does not act as an immigration authority and cannot guarantee admission to Peru.
Responsibility of the Passenger
Passengers are responsible for:
- providing accurate reservation information;
- checking their booking confirmation;
- arriving on time;
- following safety instructions;
- carrying required identification;
- maintaining appropriate travel documentation;
- supervising personal belongings;
- following local laws;
- respecting other travelers and staff;
- and informing us about circumstances that materially affect their service.
Responsibility of HL Transportes Turisticos
HL Transportes Turisticos is responsible for performing services directly operated by the company with reasonable care and professionalism.
When services are coordinated through third-party providers, HL Transportes Turisticos will exercise reasonable care in arranging those services and will comply with obligations applicable under Peruvian law.
Nothing contained in these Terms and Conditions is intended to:
- exclude liability where prohibited by law;
- remove mandatory consumer protections;
- exclude responsibility for intentional wrongdoing;
- or eliminate legal obligations imposed on HL Transportes Turisticos.
Third-Party Providers
Some travel arrangements may involve independent providers.
These may include:
- hotels;
- railway companies;
- restaurants;
- guides;
- tourism attractions;
- local transportation providers;
- airlines;
- government authorities;
- and other tourism service providers.
Their services may be subject to their own operating requirements and conditions.
HL Transportes Turisticos will nevertheless comply with any responsibilities that cannot legally be transferred or excluded under Peruvian consumer and tourism legislation.
Mechanical Problems
Although vehicles are subject to maintenance and operational checks, unexpected mechanical issues can occasionally occur.
If a vehicle cannot safely continue operating, our priorities will be to:
- protect passenger safety;
- assess the situation;
- arrange another appropriate vehicle when necessary;
- and continue the service as soon as reasonably possible.
A mechanical delay does not automatically constitute cancellation when an appropriate solution or replacement service is provided.
Connections With Flights and Trains
Passengers should allow reasonable travel time when ground transportation connects with:
- flights;
- trains;
- long-distance buses;
- or other time-sensitive services.
Passengers should tell HL Transportes Turisticos about important connections before confirming the service.
Although transportation is planned using reasonable travel times, extraordinary road conditions cannot always be predicted.
Personal Data and Privacy
HL Transportes Turisticos respects the privacy of its passengers.
Personal information may be collected when reasonably necessary to:
- process reservations;
- communicate with travelers;
- purchase tickets;
- coordinate transportation;
- coordinate tours;
- provide emergency assistance;
- comply with legal requirements;
- or provide customer support.
Information may include:
- identification information;
- passport details when required;
- telephone number;
- email address;
- hotel information;
- flight details;
- train information;
- booking history;
- payment confirmation;
- and information necessary for providing the requested service.
Passenger information may be provided to legitimate tourism suppliers when necessary to fulfill the reservation.
These may include:
- hotels;
- train companies;
- transportation providers;
- ticketing authorities;
- guides;
- and other service providers involved in the passenger’s itinerary.
Personal data will be handled in accordance with applicable Peruvian personal data protection legislation.
Passengers may contact:
hltransportesturisticos@gmail.com
for questions regarding personal information and privacy.
Email and WhatsApp Communications
By providing contact details during the booking process, passengers authorize HL Transportes Turisticos to communicate with them when reasonably necessary to manage their trip.
These communications may include:
- booking confirmations;
- pickup information;
- driver information;
- itinerary information;
- payment information;
- operational changes;
- schedule changes;
- emergency communications;
- and customer support.
Operational communications relating to a reservation are separate from promotional marketing messages.
Photographs and Promotional Content
Photographs or videos may occasionally be taken during tourism activities.
Participation in a service does not automatically grant unrestricted permission to use an identifiable passenger’s image for advertising.
When identifiable passenger images are intended for promotional purposes, appropriate authorization should be obtained.
Passengers may inform our team if they prefer not to appear in promotional photographs.
Complaints and Customer Support
We want travelers to contact us whenever a confirmed service does not meet reasonable expectations.
When possible, concerns should be communicated during the service so our team has an opportunity to address them immediately.
Passengers may contact:

Our team will review complaints objectively and make reasonable efforts to provide a fair solution.
Libro de Reclamaciones
HL Transportes Turisticos recognizes the rights of consumers under Peruvian consumer protection legislation.
Passengers have the right to access the company’s Libro de Reclamaciones to submit a formal complaint or claim.
Complaints and claims submitted through the Libro de Reclamaciones will be reviewed and answered according to the deadlines and requirements established by Peruvian law.
Submitting a complaint directly to HL Transportes Turisticos or through the Libro de Reclamaciones does not prevent the passenger from exercising any additional rights available under applicable consumer protection legislation.
Consumer Rights
These Terms and Conditions are intended to operate consistently with applicable Peruvian consumer protection legislation.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to waive, eliminate, or limit consumer rights that cannot legally be waived.
If any provision contained in these Terms conflicts with a mandatory provision of Peruvian law, the mandatory legal provision will prevail.
Dispute Resolution
If a disagreement arises, we encourage passengers to contact HL Transportes Turisticos first.
Our objective is to resolve concerns:
- professionally;
- fairly;
- transparently;
- and whenever possible directly with the passenger.
When a disagreement cannot be resolved directly, passengers retain access to the administrative, consumer protection, arbitration, or judicial mechanisms available under Peruvian law.
Applicable Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Peru.
They should be interpreted in accordance with applicable rules concerning:
- tourism;
- tourist transportation;
- consumer protection;
- personal data protection;
- civil obligations;
- and other applicable Peruvian legislation.
Nothing contained in these Terms removes rights granted to consumers by mandatory Peruvian law.
Promotions and Special Rates
Promotional prices may have specific conditions concerning:
- travel dates;
- booking dates;
- availability;
- payment deadlines;
- or cancellation conditions.
Such conditions will be communicated before the reservation is confirmed.
Unless otherwise stated, different promotional offers cannot automatically be combined.
Fraudulent Reservations and Payments
HL Transportes Turisticos reserves the right to verify or reject reservations when there is reasonable evidence of:
- fraudulent payment;
- false identification;
- unauthorized use of a payment method;
- intentional misrepresentation;
- or other unlawful activity.
Additional identification or payment verification may be requested when reasonably necessary.
Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
Passengers who believe that a payment was processed incorrectly should contact HL Transportes Turisticos as soon as possible.
We will review legitimate payment disputes and provide available supporting information.
Nothing contained in these Terms removes legitimate rights available through a passenger’s bank or card issuer.
HL Transportes Turisticos reserves the right to provide booking and service records to payment providers when responding to fraudulent or unjustified chargebacks.
Changes to These Terms
HL Transportes Turisticos may update these Terms and Conditions when reasonably necessary because of:
- changes in legislation;
- changes in transportation regulations;
- operational changes;
- introduction of new services;
- supplier requirements;
- or improvements to company policies.
The conditions communicated at the time of a confirmed reservation will generally apply to that booking.
New conditions will not be applied retroactively where doing so would unlawfully reduce confirmed passenger rights.
Service-Specific Conditions
Some reservations may have additional conditions because of the nature of the service.
This may apply particularly to:
- Machu Picchu tickets;
- train services;
- accommodation;
- archaeological entrance tickets;
